How I Finally Escaped Tab Overload with a Smarter Multitasking System

If you’ve ever found yourself buried under too many open tabs — one for tasks, one for notes, one for your budget, and another for your workout plan — you’ll know the exact kind of chaos I was living in. I built my own productivity platform, Joona Productivity, to bring everything into one place: 🗒️ Task Management 🔥 Habit Tracking 💰 Finance Tracker 💪 Workout Routine 🧠 Notes 📁 Project Management It was supposed to simplify my workflow. But even with everything built inside one app, I still found myself constantly switching pages, losing context, and breaking focus. That’s when it hit me — I didn’t need more features. I needed a better way to multitask inside the same app.

The Problem: Multitasking in a Single-Task Layout

Most productivity tools are built for single-task focus — and that’s fine if you’re checking one thing at a time. But real productivity doesn’t work that way. Sometimes I need to:

  • Check my expenses while reviewing my tasks
  • Log a habit while updating my workout routine
  • Take a note while managing a project And doing that with tabs or full-page navigation? Total flow killer. So, I built something new inside Joona Productivity — a smarter way to multitask without leaving the screen.

The Solution: The Floating Multitask Popup

Enter the Floating Multitask Popup — my personal favorite feature so far. It’s activated by a floating action button (FAB) on the right side of the app. Tap or click it, and a popup slides in, letting you open any other part of the app without losing your current view. Now, I can:

  • 🧾 View my finance tracker while planning projects
  • 💪 Check workout stats while editing notes
  • 🔁 Track daily habits while managing tasks It’s smooth, instant, and feels exactly how modern multitasking should — built into the app, not into your browser tabs.

Responsive by Design: Works Everywhere

Because Joona Productivity runs across desktop, tablet, and mobile, the popup adapts perfectly to each device:

  • 💻 Desktop → Opens as a floating side panel that you can resize or stack
  • 📱 Mobile → Expands into a clean, full-screen modal with simplified controls
  • 📊 Tablet → Slides in smoothly, supporting drag and swipe gestures The result is a consistent experience no matter where you use it — same power, different layout.

The Result: Real Multitasking, Real Flow

Since adding the Floating Multitask Popup, my workflow feels completely different. I can finally jump between tasks, notes, and trackers without losing my rhythm. No context switching. No tab chaos. Just clean, focused productivity. It’s one of those small quality-of-life features that ends up changing how you use the entire app.

Coming Soon 👀

Joona Productivity isn’t released yet — but it’s coming very soon. I’ve been building it to solve the exact kind of problems that most “all-in-one” tools ignore: the real multitasking and focus challenges of modern productivity. If you’ve ever wished your productivity app worked more like your mind — flexible, fast, and connected — you might want to keep an eye out for this one. 👀
